Security recovers Axe body spray and cookies from alleged shoplifter

The suspect got away during his arrest and fled on foot

Barrie Police is looking to identify a male suspect after he fled from a loss prevention officer (LPO) following his arrest outside the store.

On Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2018 at 1 p.m., the LPO from No Frills located at 165 Wellington St. W, in the City of Barrie, contacted police after arresting (an alleged) shoplifter. The LPO was able to only provide police with video surveillance of the suspect as the male pulled away during the arrest and fled on foot. The LPO was able to recover a bottle of Axe body spray as well as a box of cookies from the suspect’s bag and at this time investigators are unsure of other stolen items he may be in possession of.

Description:
    •    Male,  white
    •    5'9” and approximately 155 pounds
    •    Wearing a chain with a cross, blue mirrored sunglasses, black Under Armour t-shirt with the words ‘Super Elite Football’, black Michael Jordan gym shorts and flip flops
