Police recommend engraving your personal belongings

An identifying mark will assist police if your property is taken

Crime Prevention Week runs from Nov. 5 - 11, 2017. Please do your part in preventing crime and make sure all of your personal items and valuables are always secure and out of sight of criminals. If your belongings are taken, how can you help police to identify your items?

Come to the Bradford or Innisfil stations and engrave your items with any identifying mark that you will remember and will assist police if your property is taken.

You may not know the serial number of the item, but you will always remember the engraved marking. This could be your initials, a number, or any other marking.

Bring your bicycles, electronics, sports gear, or any other item that can be engraved to the following locations:

  • Bradford : South Simcoe Police station garage - 81 Melbourne Dr. on Tuesday, Nov. 7 from 6 - 8 p.m.
  • Innisfil : South Simcoe Police station garage - 2137 Innisifl Beach Rd. on Wednesday, Nov. 8 from 6 - 8 p.m.

Officers will be on hand to assist with engraving your belongings and answer any questions.
