William Winstanley arrested in relation to two robberies at Petro Canada. Barrie Police Service received multiple tips from citizens in Barrie who had identified the accused and knew his location.
On Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2017 at 5:45 p.m. Police attended the parking lot of Kozlov Mall, located at 400 Bayfield St. in the City of Barrie, after receiving a tip the male was there. Upon police approach, the male fled on foot running directly to the parking lot of Petro Canada where the two robberies occurred. The male was stopped in his tracks by an off duty police officer and arrested by attending officers.
He was taken to the Barrie Police Service to await a bail hearing Wednesday morning.
