Arrest made in Midland car wash, rental store break-ins

29-year-old Midland man faces a slew of serious charges, including possession of cocaine and theft over $5,000

OPP uniform and specialized units on Sept. 24, 2019 arrested Jason Richard Sauve, 29 years of Midland, in connection to recent break and enters at Bestway Rental Store, Jake's Car Wash, McCarthy Shell, Bodyline Collision and Messer Canada that occurred between Aug. 27 and Sept. 23, 2019.

Charges against the accused are as follows contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada in connection to the break and enters at the noted businesses:

  • Break, enter a place - commit indictable offence- (6) counts
  • Theft over $5000
  • Theft under $5000 - (2) counts
  • Operation while prohibited
  • Fail to comply with probation order - (7) counts
  • Mischief under $5000

Charges as follows contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act:

  • Possession of a schedule I substance- Cocaine

The accused was held for bail at the Ontario Court of Justice in Barrie on Sept. 25, 2019 and remains in custody and will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Midland at a future date.
