Clean getaway in Midland car wash, rental store break-ins

Jake's Car Wash on King Street and Bestway Rentals Store on Vindin Street were targeted by thieves in the past 24 hours

MIDLAND - Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Southern Georgian Bay detachment were dispatched at 9:10 a.m. Sept. 21, 2019, to a report of a break and enter that had occurred at Jake's Car Wash on King Street, Midland.

The incident occurred between 2 a.m. and 3 a.m. Sept. 21, 2019, a person(s) unknown forced a side window and entered the business removing an unknown amount of store contents.

Earlier in the day, at 6:21 a.m., OPP uniform officers were dispatched to a break and enter at the Bestway Rentals Store on Vindin Street Midland as person(s) unknown forced the front door of the store and made off with a number of store retail items.

One of those items stolen has been identified as an Honda generator model 2200 EU Companion serial # EAMT1336672.
