Pickleball tourney raises money for Hospice Simcoe (10 photos)

About 25 pickleball enthusiasts participated in the event, held at the Innisfil YMCA

Score wasn’t kept, and the object of the game was fun, friendship and fitness.

Raising money for Hospice Simcoe didn’t hurt, either.

The inaugural non-competitive Pickleball Funanza Day tournament, put on through a partnership between the Town of Innisfil's Leisure Services Department and the Innisfil YMCA, took place on Friday afternoon, attracting about 25 sports enthusiasts to come out and raise money for a good cause.

The registration fees for the event, personal donations as well as donations from No Frills and Sobeys are being combined to be donated to Hospice Simcoe.

The total amount raised was not yet available.
