It was last December when Bradford resident and mother Corina Teodorescu was rummaging through the house and stumbled upon her yarn and needles from her old knitting days.
This reignited her creativity, and taught herself how to crochet. One of her first projects was a dress for her neighbour Natasha Hull's new baby girl.
"I discovered I really love crocheting baby clothes," said Teodorescu. "I've made her (the neighour's daughter) many, many clothes as she grew."
Hull's daughter is now turning one having a teddy bear picnic themed party.
"I know Corina is so talented at crocheting, so I asked her if she could make teddy bears for the children coming to the party," said Hull.
"I was excited for the new challenge," said Teodorescu.
To give the bears a more personalized touch, she asked Hull about each child's personality so she could incorporate it into her design. Each bear is unique, accessorized and dressed to match the child's personality, and is even monogrammed front with the children's initials.
"She took it to the next level," said Hull. "She was constantly coming up with creative new ideas to perfect the bears. I am blown away by her attention to detail and the love she put into make each bear."
Each bear takes Teodorescu about one to two days to make, using acrylic yarn she purchases from Michael's craft store.
Hull was so pleased with the bears that she shared her photos to the Bradford Mammas Facebook page, and has since received requests from others for their own personalized bear.
When asked if this would be something she would consider turning into a side business, she was excited about the possibility.
"I hope so," she said. "I really love making them."
She has recently created a new Facebook page where you can see all her latest creations.
