BARRIE AND DISTRICT CHRISTMAS CHEER

With just a few short weeks left before Santa Claus slides down the chimney’s of Barrie and area homes, Christmas Cheer is currently sitting at $90,000 raised which is still a long way to go before they reach their ultimate goal of $250,000. 

The families that Christmas Cheer service depend heavily on the support and generosity of the community, local business owners, corporate sponsors, area schools and all of the organizations volunteers. All of which so graciously come together to donate food, toys, money and their time in order to make sure that the families of Barrie, Innisfil, Angus, Oro-Medonte and surrounding area are provided with a magical Christmas morning.

Over the next few weeks, Barrie and District Christmas Cheer will really need the help and support of the community as they initiate a final push for donations in order to meet the needs of each family that they will be supporting in the 2018 campaign. With applications still coming in, they are predicting to have around 5,000 people that will acquire assistance this year.
