Community centre closures extended to end of June, ban imposed on yard sales

All cancellations and closures are being regularly reviewed by city’s emergency control group

The City of Barrie is extending the closure of Community Centres until at least June 30. All theatre shows, bookings of sports fields, and events are also cancelled until June 30.

The City is also banning all yard sales at this time to prevent people from gathering, which would be contrary to the Provincial government’s emergency orders.

All cancellations/closures will be regularly reviewed by the City’s Emergency Control Group and could be extended based on the most current advice of Public Health.

The City will continually update its website at barrie.ca/Services as the situation changes.
