This year's Barrie Christmas Arts & Crafts Show, which is held annually at Sadlon Arena (formerly the Barrie Molson Centre), has been postponed until next year due to COVID-19 concerns.

Area Productions Inc., which stages the popular local event, announced today that this year's show, scheduled for Nov. 6-8, will now be pushed back until Nov. 5-7, 2021.

"Like so many other large consumer events, we have decided that holding this year's show during a pandemic is just too risky and restrictive," said Barbara Rose, of Area Productions. "(We're) looking forward to seeing everyone next year under more positive circumstances."

This year's edition would have been the 26th annual event.
