Catholic board confirms COVID case at St. Bernadette in Barrie

No classrooms have been closed, and the school remains open

The Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board has confirmed another case of COVID-19 in one of its schools.

St. Bernadette Catholic School in Barrie, which is located on Marsellus Drive, has one confirmed case of COVID-19 in an individual. It's not known if the individual is a student, teacher or employee.

No classrooms have been closed, and the school remains open.

This case marks the 15th case of COVID-19 in a school in Simcoe County, the eighth with the Catholic board.

Of the 15 cases, six have recovered and classrooms reopened.
