Young boys seen smashing window at Angus arena, police say

Suspects are described as being around 10 and 12 years old, according to descriptions given to OPP

ESSA TWP. – On Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2020, members of the Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were advised by a community member that they had just witnessed two youths smash out a window of the Angus arena located in the area of Centre Street and Greenwood Drive, in Essa Township. 

Officers immediately attended and checked the area for the suspects, but did not locate anybody. Police are appealing for any information to assist in this investigation.

Suspect #1 is described as a male, approximately 10 years of age, blonde hair with half of his head shaved, wearing a blue checkered hoodie, and black and red track pants.

Suspect #2 is described as male, approximately 12 years of age, wearing dark clothing.

The OPP is asking the public to contact police if they observe any suspicious persons or activity that may be taking place, especially during the overnight hours. Businesses with surveillance cameras that capture any illegal activity in and around their business are also asked to call the OPP, as the images and video may assist in solving these ongoing and troublesome occurrences.
