The driver, Youngdo Jo, age 29 of Barrie, was arrested and charged for stunt driving contrary to Section 172(1) of the Highway Traffic Act. The vehicle was impounded and the driver had his licence suspended for seven days.

The driver was released at the scene with a court date of Jan. 10, 2018 at the Provincial Offences Court in Orillia.

Driving this fast on the highways is extremely dangerous. Motorists should think twice before speeding especially at extreme high rates of speed. The fines and cost of insurance is nothing compared to the loss of life.

When driving this fast we cannot react to the unexpected in time and put ourselves and others at risk for injury or death. Please take care when on the roads.
