Two people taken to hospital following crash on Wellington St.

One driver charged with making an unsafe turn under the Highway Traffic Act

Two people, including a female passenger who had a bloody head wound, were taken to Barrie hospital with non-life-threatening injuries following a two-vehicle crash on Wellington Street this afternoon. 

The crash occurred around 12:30 p.m., Wednesday, at the corner of Wellington Street West and Donald Street, near the Anne Street bridge. 

Barrie police charged the driver of the Nissan Rogue with making an unsafe turn under the Highway Traffic Act.

Both of the injured people were occupants of the Nissan Rogue. 

Some lanes were closed while the traffic unit investigated.
