Three-vehicle crash in Innisfil leads to impaired charges

INNISFIL - A 33-year-old Mississauga man was charged with impaired driving and over 80 after South Simcoe Police Service officers responded to a collision in Innisfil. 

On Thursday, Feb. 6, 2020 around 5:30 p.m., police arrived at the scene of a three-vehicle collision on Innisfil Beach Road just west of Highway 400.

Police spoke to the suspect driver and detected an odour of alcohol. 

The driver was arrested and transported to North Division where breath tests resulted in readings of well over the legal limit.

Thirty-three-year-old Lukasz Janczura of Mississauga was charged with operation while impaired and over 80. His licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle impounded for seven days. 

One driver involved in the collision suffered minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital as a precaution.
