On Oct. 1, 2020, the Barrie Police Service responded to a report of a sexual assault that was believed to have occurred at Hurst Park between 9 and 10 p.m.
Over the past three weeks, a thorough, detailed, and comprehensive investigation was undertaken by the Barrie Police Crimes Against Persons Unit and it is now complete.
Respecting all parties involved, investigators have determined that there was never a threat to public safety and as a result, there will be no further details or updates provided regarding this investigation.
The Barrie Police Service wish to thank the public for their assistance in this investigation.
