Police seek suspected shoplifters following theft at Joe's No Frills

The Barrie Police Service is appealing to the public for assistance after a theft was reported in the City of Barrie.

On Friday, May 31, 2019, police responded to a report of a shoplifting that occurred at Joe’s No Frills, which is located at 165 Wellington St. W.

From the investigation that followed, it was determined that the two suspects entered the store at 3:40 p.m. and proceeded to select a number of packaged candy products eventually concealing them in a backpack.

The suspects then left the store without making any attempt to pay for the products that they obtained.

Through the use of store video surveillance, police are seeking to identify the two suspects who are described as:

  • Male black, early 20's, 5'9-5'11, slim build, black medium length hair, blue/white striped button up shirt, blue jeans and dark shoes.
  • Female white, early 20's, 5'3-5'5, medium brown hair, 110-115 lbs, blue jacket, blue/ red shorts and dark back pack.
