Police seek assistance identifying bike theft suspect

Barrie Police are seeking the public’s assistance to identify a male following a theft that took place on Tuesday, July 18, 2017, at Holly Recreation Centre, located at 171 Mapleton Ave., in the City of Barrie.

The victim had left his bicycle at the bike rack located at the front entrance of recreation center just after 3 p.m.

Video surveillance captured a male suspect leaving with the victim's bicycle and fleeing the area eastbound on Mapleton Avenue.

The bicycle is described as;

  • BMX Specialized
  • Grey frame and brown seat
  • Skull graphics are printed on both the frame and seat.

The suspect is described as;

  • Male white
  • Wearing a black baseball hat, black t-shirt, shorts, shoes and a black backpack.
