Police looking for witnesses to pedestrian collision

Investigators with Barrie Police Traffic Services, are looking for witnesses following a fail to remain involving a pedestrian, on Friday, March 2, 2018.

The collision took place just after 12:30 a.m. at the intersection of Huronia Road and McKay Road, in the City of Barrie.

The victim had been returning to his vehicle after assisting another motorist, when he was struck by a vehicle heading northbound on Huronia Road. The vehicle pulled over momentarily then left the scene without rendering assistance.

The victim, a 53-year-old Barrie man, sustained serious but non-life threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital.  

The vehicle is described as a dark coloured hatchback and may have slight front-end damage.
