Police investigating overnight theft in Innisfil

On Monday, Aug. 24, 2020, South Simcoe Police Service officers police were called to a home in Innisfil for a report of a theft from a vehicle.

Upon arrival, police learned that a large number of items including tools and equipment had been stolen from a truck that was parked in the driveway.

The theft occurred sometime overnight between the evening of Aug. 23 and the morning of Aug. 24.

Anyone with information is asked to contact South Simcoe Police Service or Crime Stoppers.

South Simcoe Police Service wants to take this opportunity to remind residents about home security and community engagement. If you see suspicious activity in your neighbourhood - a car or person that appears out of place - call police and we will respond. Always remember to lock your vehicles and avoid leaving valuables inside. Proper lighting around your home and driveway can also act as a potential deterrent to thieves.
