Police investigating armed robbery at Circle K on Marsellus Dr.

Barrie police say suspect brandished what appeared to be a firearm during Tuesday evening's robbery

On Tuesday, Feb. 15 at approximately 6:20 p.m., Barrie police were called to the Circle K located at 3 Marsellus Dr., in the southwest area of Barrie.

After entering the store several times looking for vaping products between 5 and 6 p.m., the suspect was advised that ID would need to be seen to sell him the products. He told the employee that his mother would be attending to purchase the products for him.

[It is alleged that] the suspect returned again shortly after 6 p.m. and displayed what appeared to be a firearm to the employee, then left the store with a quantity of vaping products.

The employee was not physically injured in this occurrence.

Although police have video surveillance footage of the suspect, he appears to be under 18 years of age, and police cannot share his image under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

The suspect is described as:

  • Male, Black, approximately 5’10”
  • Wearing a large red winter coat, with fur around the hood
  • Wearing a black COVID face mask with a yellow Nike logo on it
