One arrested, one outstanding in phone theft

Barrie Police Service has identified and arrested suspect #2, the male responsible for removing the cell phone from the store, at 6:20 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2017 in a back yard on Bayfield Street after a brief foot pursuit.

Upon arrest, the officers located the stolen property discarded in the bush where the male was arrested.  

A 23-year-old Barrie male has been charged with theft under $5,000 and possession of stolen property. He will appear in Barrie court in October to answer to his charges.
