Two suspects wanted in phone theft

Barrie Police Service are currently looking to identify two males after a theft in a north end business.

On Sunday, Sept. 10, 2017 at 4:10 p.m., two males entered Staples, located at 561 Bayfield Street in the City of Barrie, and proceeded directly to the cell phone area. The males split, both circling around stalling suspiciously near the cell phones, one time even causing the alarm attached to sound.

The first suspect left the store and proceeded southbound on Bayfield Street on foot. The second suspect grabbed a black Samsung Galaxy A5 display, setting off the alarm and fled on foot from the store. He was last seen leaving the parking lot in a grey Toyota RAV4 with a missing spare tire on the rear.

Suspect #1:

  • Male, white
  • Brown hair
  • Wearing aviator style sunglasses, a green army jacket and blue jeans

Suspect #2:

  • Male, white
  • Crew cut hair
  • Wearing a purple sweater with yellow writing "EVERY DAY I'M HUSTLIN'"
