During the weekend police conducted R.I.D.E throughout the City of Barrie, and a total of 13 drivers were arrested and charged with impaired driving and over 80.

One driver caught the attention of police as she was cruising impaired throughout the city without her headlights on. Another driver attempted to be stealth while driving impaired, but when he almost struck an officer in a marked cruiser, it was game over!

The final impaired of the night proves that having patience goes a long way. A driver became impatient while waiting for a designated driver service to arrive. As a result of his actions he did eventually get a ride, but to the police station and charged with impaired and over 80.

The cost of a cab or a designated driving service is much cheaper than legal fees, and you arrive home safe to your family.
