Honestly is alive and well in our communities, and an incident in Bradford is proof.

On the morning of Saturday, July 31, 2021, a citizen shopping the garage sales in Bradford found a wallet on the ground at the intersection of Maplegrove Avenue and Fred Cook Drive. The wallet contained a quantity of cash.

The finder turned the wallet in at the South Simcoe Police Service South Division. Police contacted the owner who came to pick up the lost item. The owner advised there was additional cash hidden in the wallet and was thrilled to have it returned as the money was to be used for Christmas shopping.

The grateful owner asked police to thank the finder for being honest and doing the right thing. We did and added our voice to the kudos for being a good citizen.
