Missing Youths Located BRADFORD - On Thursday, December 10, 2015, two youths from Bradford were reported missing to South Simcoe Police in two separate occurrences. Officers and family members searched for the youths for several hours.

Festive RIDE

Barrie Police Service conducted one of many holiday R.I.D.E spot checks on Thursday night at several locations throughout ‎the city of Barrie.

As a result a total of 567 vehicles were stopped and police did not lay any charges of over 80 or impaired driving. We are hoping the emphasis placed on the dangers of impaired driving is reaching motorists.

There are many options at the end of the night to reach your final destination safely.

Missing Youths Located

BRADFORD - On Thursday, December 10, 2015, two youths from Bradford were reported missing to South Simcoe Police in two separate occurrences. Officers and family members searched for the youths for several hours. Officers received information that one of the youths was planning on camping out in a wooded area of Bradford. A canine officer searched the area and located both youths, who were going to be spending the night in the woods together. They were in good health and returned to their homes.

Assault

BRADFORD - On Thursday, December 10, 2015, just after 10 a.m., South Simcoe Police officers were called to a multi-dwelling residential unit in Bradford. They learned that one of the residents assaulted another, and that the woman in question had been aggressive with other residents over the last few weeks. A 55-year-old Bradford woman has been charged with Assault. She has been released to a future court date with conditions to reside elsewhere.

Assault

INNISFIL - On Thursday, December 10, 2015, officers from South Simcoe Police were called to a home in Innisfil. They spoke with a Nantyr High School student who had just been checked out at the hospital after being assaulted earlier in the day while at school. A suspect was contacted, and turned himself in at the station. The 16-year-old boy was charged with Assault. He was released on conditions to have no contact with the victim, and given a Youth Court date in January.

Surety Revoked

BRADFORD - A 17-year-old youth is in custody, after failing to follow the rules of the house. On Thursday, December 10, 2015, officers were called to a Bradford home. A youth who resides there with his surety was acting out and was aggressive with others in the home. His conditions of a previous release were to reside with his surety and obey the rules of the home. The surety, frustrated with the disobedience, revoked the bail, and the youth was returned to jail to await a new bail hearing.

Break And Enter

BRADFORD - A Bradford homeowner was shocked to find his house broken into on Thursday afternoon. The man reported that his wife left the Reid Street house at 12:30 p.m., and he returned at 4 p.m. to find the door ajar. An investigation revealed that someone had forced the front door open and removed a quantity of jewellery and cash. Anyone with information on this crime is asked to call South Simcoe Police or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
