Essa Township business owner facing fraud charges

On July 7, 2020, Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) entered into an investigation involving a local company, which is owned and operated by [name redacted].

As a result of this investigation, on Thursday, Aug. 20, 2020, [a 46-year-old Essa Township man was] charged with fraud over $5,000, contrary to s.380(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada.

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bradford on Oct. 1, 2020, to answer to the charges.

When you contact Crime Stoppers you remain anonymous, you will never have to testify and you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000.
