Update: Shortly after 4 p.m., city police said the section of Essa Road had reopened.

Essa Road is closed from Fairview Road to Anne Street following a crash, Saturday afternoon.
Shortly after 3 p.m., Barrie police said they are investigating after a vehicle struck a hydro pole.
Power lines are down and Alectra crews are on site to carry out the necessary repairs.
It's unknown how long the section of Essa Road will be closed.
