Erratic driving leads to impaired charges in Innisfil

INNISFIL - A Collingwood man was issued a 90-day licence suspension after being charged with impaired driving in Innisfil.

On Friday, Aug. 28, 2020 around 8 p.m., a South Simcoe Police Service officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle observed driving erratically in the area of Innisfil Beach Road and Highway 400. The driver was arrested for impaired driving and transported to North Division. Breath tests conducted at the police station resulted in readings over the legal limit of alcohol.

Fifty-seven-year-old Graham Mottram of Collingwood was charged with operation while impaired and over 80. In addition to the licence suspension, his vehicle was impounded for seven days.
