SPRINGWATER TWP. — On Nov. 7, 2020, around 3:30 p.m. a member of the Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police arrested and charged a male driver after multiple traffic complaints in regards to recklessly driving and excessive speeds.
The vehicle was located and observed exceeding the posted speed limit of 80 km/hr. The radar registered a speed of 138 km/hr.
Mhd Hadi Said Ahmad, 38, of North York, Ontario was subsequently charged with;
- CC 320.13(1) adult dangerous operation
- HTA 172(1) adult race a motor vehicle - excessive speed
His driver's licence was suspended for seven days and his vehicle was impounded.
The driver will appear in an Ontario Court of Justice on Jan. 12, 2021 to answer to the charge.
