A south-end Barrie resident woke up yesterday morning to find their Dodge Durango had been stolen right out of the driveway.

The incident was reported to city police Wednesday morning.

The stolen vehicle is a 2021 Dodge Durango, which was taken from a residence located on Michelle Drive, located near Huronia and Lockhart roads.

From the investigation that followed, police learned the truck had been parked in the driveway and was last seen at 9:15 p.m., Tuesday. It was discovered missing the following morning at 7 a.m.

Police say small amounts of tinted glass were found on the driveway.

"It is believed that the driver’s side, rear passenger door window was likely broken, which allowed for access to the locked motor vehicle," police said in a release.

The Durango is described as grey in colour with Ontario licence plates CBVZ094 on it when it was stolen.

Police are asking that anyone who sees this vehicle either parked or being driven to call 911 immediately.
