A single-vehicle collision in Innisfil has led to several charges for a Barrie man.

South Simcoe police responded to a report of the crash, which occurred near the 20th Sideroad and 5th Line intersection, on March 19 at about 11:15 a.m.

Once on scene, police say officers discovered the vehicle in a ditch. The driver was found uninjured.

“It was determined the man was wanted on an outstanding warrant,” spokesperson Sue Sgambati said in an email. “He was taken into custody without incident.”

The 42-year-old man has been charged with failure to appear in court, operation of a motor vehicle while prohibited, careless driving and driving while under suspension. He was held for a bail hearing.

None of the allegations have been tested in court.
