City police are looking for a third possible witness who may have information regarding Saturday's stabbing in downtown Barrie.

Investigators are hoping to identify and speak to the woman, whose image was released to the media on Monday afternoon.

Police previously released images of a man and a woman on the weekend, both of whom have been in contact with investigators, said Barrie police communications co-ordinator Peter Leon.

Their hope is the same in this instance.

"She may even be from out of town," Leon told BarrieToday

The woman can contact investigators at 705-725-7025, ext. 2132, or by email at [email protected].

On Saturday, July 27, 2019, shortly after 3 a.m., police officers responded to Dunlop Street West between Bayfield Street and Maple Avenue.

Police found a 28-year-old man suffering from life-threatening injuries after he was stabbed with what is believed to have been an edged weapon.

The victim was airlifted to a Toronto hospital where he continues to receive medical care, Leon said Monday afternoon.

Information can also be submitted to CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS or www.p3tips.com.
