Bradford man accused of stealing cannabis plants

A 22-year-old Bradford man and a 17-year-old youth from Oshawa were charged with a number of offences after South Simcoe Police Service officers responded to a report of threats being made with weapon.

On Sunday, Sept. 22, 2019 at 7:30 a.m., South Simcoe Police Service officers were called to the Maplegrove Avenue and Collings Avenue area of Bradford by a man who said he had been threatened with a knife.

Upon arrival, officers observed two males dragging a large container with two cannabis plants that had been stolen from a nearby residence.

As a result of the investigation, a 22-year-old Bradford man and a 17-year-old Oshawa male were charged with uttering threats, theft, possession of stolen property and breach of probation. The youth was also charged with possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose.

Both accused were held for a bail hearing.
