May 11 incident captured on home surveillance on Arthur Street

Barrie police are looking for help finding a thief who stole a Toronto Blue Jays jersey in broad daylight in the city’s east end.

At 3:25 p.m., on May 11, a home surveillance camera at an Arthur Street home near Nelson and Steel streets — caught a person stealing an item from the mailbox.

Police say the Jays jersey is worth $80.

Investigators have released still photos in case someone recognizes the culprit.

The video shows the jersey in his hand as he turns to walk away from the home, police say.
