On Wednesday, March 14, 2018, members of the Barrie Police Service Internet Child Exploitation Unit arrested a 22-year-old Barrie man following a lengthy child pornography investigation.
In March of 2017, investigators received a tip concerning the uploading of child pornography, which had been uploaded from Facebook. A lengthy investigation led to the execution of two warrants and the seizure of three devices, which were forensically analyzed.
The accused has been charged with accessing child pornography and possession of child pornography. He is scheduled to appear in a Barrie Court of Justice on Thursday, March 15, 2018.
