22-year-old charged in connection with Bradford assault investigation

The South Simcoe Police Service has charged a 22-year-old Innisfil man with attempted murder following a physical altercation in Bradford.

Police were called to the scene outside a storefront off of Holland Street West at approximately 12:20 p.m., on Friday, Nov. 19, 2021. During the altercation, a 28-year-old man from Toronto suffered significant injuries when he was assaulted with an edged weapon. The victim is in serious but stable condition at a Toronto area hospital. Two people were taken into custody nearby following a traffic stop.

As a result of the investigation, 22-year-old Aaron McPherson of Innisfil was charged with attempted murder. The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing.

Police are appealing for any witnesses that were in the plaza at the time and may have seen the altercation to come forward with any information and/or video that might assist in the investigation.
