Ontario businesses have been on a roller-coaster ride with forced closures, new protocols, control measures, and sometimes daily changes to the way they can operate.

In Barrie, the city is offering free parking at the Chase McEachern Lot throughout December to encourage people to shop downtown.

The Downtown Barrie BIA also has a few festive tricks up its sleeve. Visit downtownbarrie.ca to find out more about local stores, restaurants and services. Check out noella.downtownbarrie.ca to learn about the BIA’s Noella and Holly Days events.

Just keep in mind, on top of the rules businesses and their customers now must follow, the provincial and regional medical officers of health are asking people not to travel to regions with higher or lower transmission rates. So people living in orange zones shouldn't go to a red zone, and likewise shouldn't go to a yellow zone except for essential purposes.

So how has this impacted your holiday shopping routines and traditions?

Let us know in the poll below.
