CITY OF BARRIE

A number of services are affected by holiday weekends. The following City services will be affected this Canada Day weekend:

Barrie Transit

On Saturday, July 1, Barrie Transit will operate regular Sunday Service, with last buses departing the Terminal after the downtown fireworks display (approximately 11pm). (barrie.ca/TransitNotices).

Curbside Collection

There will be no collection of garbage, organics, recycling, and yard waste on Saturday July 1.

The landfill is closed on July 1 and will reopen as usual on Saturday, July 2. Materials must be curbside by 7 a.m. on your collection day. (barrie.ca/CurbsideCollection).

Note: The Landfill Site is closed regularly every Sunday and Monday.

Parking 

Downtown parking (on-street and lots) is free on all statutory holidays. Waterfront parking is enforced 24/7/365.

Residents must display their permits and visitors are required to pay $3 per hour with a daily maximum of $15. (barrie.ca/DowntownParking or barrie.ca/WaterfrontParking).

Recreation Centres

All Recreation Centres are closed on Saturday, July 1.

City Hall

Barrie City Hall will be closed on Saturday, July 1.
