BRADFORD - On Wednesday, January 20, 2016, just after 7 p.m., detectives from the South Simcoe Police Street Crime Unit saw a man sitting in his car in the parking lot of the Bradford Sobeys store.

The officers had received a tip that the man was dealing marijuana, and went up and spoke to him.

When he rolled down his window, the detective could smell marijuana, and spotted drug paraphernalia within the car.

The man was arrested, and a search of the car located more drug paraphernalia consistent with trafficking, and a quantity of marijuana and a scale in a hidden compartment.

The 18-year-old Bradford man was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession for the purpose of trafficking.

He will appear in Bradford Criminal Court in March.
