Thunderstorms could bring hail, high wind gusts, warns Environment Canada

Isolated thunderstorms producing small hail and gusty winds this afternoon.

Isolated thunderstorms, capable of producing wind gusts to 70 or 80 km/h and pea sized hail, will move through the region this afternoon.

Environment Canada meteorologists will continue to monitor these thunderstorms closely.

Note that Environment Canada's severe thunderstorm warning criteria are 2 cm hail, wind gusts to 90 km/h, and 50 mm of rain in an hour or less.
