Award-winning duo The Marrieds appear in concert at Grace United Church, Saturday, Nov. 3 at 7:30 p.m.

With their folk/country/pop sound declared "timeless" and filled with "playful lyrics and sweet harmonies," you will be charmed by the chemistry this duo shares with their band and the audience.

From the Snow Song Trilogy that launched them onto CBC Radio to their fourth album Fire in the Flame, The Marrieds keep delighting audiences with the breadth of their instrumental prowess, vocal variety, and clever lyrics.

The Marrieds' Jane Carmichael and Kevin Kennedy are primarily known for their thoughtful original tunes, but showed their prowess with Johnny Cash covers, including audience favourite Jackson when they performed this year with Johnny's brother, Tommy Cash, and his drummer W.S. "Fluke" Holland at a special anniversary show in London, Ont., to celebrate Cash's proposal to June Carter 50 years ago on stage there.

Advance tickets are $25 through Eventbrite, at the church, 350 Grove St. E., Barrie Monday-Friday 10 am-1 pm, or $30 cash at the door.

A silent auction offers some amazing items, with a free will offering for refreshments. This is a benefit concert for the reconstruction of Grace United Church's parking lot, which is heavily used by a wide range of community organizations.
