Three of five baby heads that adorned the wall inside the front door of Bohemia Cafe have gone missing.

Jill Dyck, owner of the Dunlop Street Cafe, says it's believed the signature, ceramic faces were stolen sometime between Sunday and Monday.

Her staff noticed the three heads were gone Monday morning.

Dyck is heartbroken.

"They've been up there for at least 11 years. My late husband and I found them on one of our thrifting trips to Value Village," said Dyck.

Dyck says she and her husband bought the "adorable and kind of creepy" doll heads for five dollars.

Her husband died in 2010 but not before seeing the little faces up on the wall.

"They have come to symbolize Bohemia in some way," said Dyck.  "That is really the only value they have."

Dyck is saddened by the loss of such sentimental items and is urging the thief to return her baby heads — no questions asked.

She feels really bad for her staff because the theft happened on their watch.

"I was really, really sad yesterday because of the connection to my husband," said Dyck. "Why would somebody do that?"

She has no plans to report the theft to the police and is putting the word out hoping the baby heads will find their way back to Bohemia.
