NEWS RELEASE
RIPPLE OF KINDNESS BARRIE
*************************
On June 8, Ripple of Kindness (ROK) Barrie hosted their summer social at McLaren Equipment on Horseshoe Valley Road in Phelpston.

Collectively, the group donated $32,000 to Communities Connecting for Children Camp and $33,000 to Glowing Hearts charity, making this their 22nd and 23rd donation back into the community.

To date, ROK Barrie has donated over $660,000 to local charities in the community.

Ripple of Kindness was started in 2016 with two friends having coffee and talking about how they could come together and make the community a better place. Although the giving circle concept is not new, it resonated with so many local women in our community, it took no time to begin making an impact.

Each member pledges to give $100 four times a year to the charity voted on by the members and ripple kindness through the community. Our members are incredibly busy women in the community and love the simple concept of collective impactful giving, making it this the easiest way to fund-raise.

There are currently 335 members in Barrie, a chapter in Orillia as well as Ripple for Kids in Barrie. The co-founders, Barb White and Mary-Anne Frith always end their socials with "keep rippling kindness" as they feel it is the best way to make a difference in the community.

There is no limit to kindness so if you are interested in joining, please visit the website. Ripple women ROK!
