Resurfacing of Dunlop St. near Highway 400 begins Monday night

Paving and line painting anticipated to be done by Friday

Dunlop Street will be getting a fresh layer of asphalt this week, from Highway 400 to Anne Street.

Work is expected to begin Monday night. Paving and line painting are anticipated to be completed by Friday, weather-permitting.

The city's asphalt resurfacing projects for 2020, which includes concrete curb and sidewalk repairs on selected streets, are budgeted at $4.1 million and should be completed in the fall. 

Other resurfacing projects which have been completed so far this year include Barrie View Drive in the Mapleview Drive area, Caplan Avenue from Barrie View to Bryne Drive, Cartwright Drive from Cundles Road East to Cardinal Street, Fraser Court in the Morrow Road area, Georgian Drive from Gaille Court to Penetanguishene Road, Harding Avenue from Ferris Lane to Cundles East, and Mapleton Avenue from Essa Road to Ardagh Road.

End-of life pavement rehabilitation has also occurred on Firman Drive from Little Avenue to Gosney Crescent, Herrell Avenue from Huronia Road to Firman Drive, and Saunders Road from Huronia to Rawson Avenue.
