There was police activity today at a Dunlop Street East location which authorities say is the result of an ongoing provincial investigation involving cannabis.

Police officers were seen going in an out of an unmarked store at 153 Dunlop St. E., near Mulcaster Street, with items that were then placed in the back of an unmarked police car.

Police were still on the scene Wednesday afternoon.

Barrie police communications co-ordinator Peter Leon told BarrieToday that more information will be available once the investigation is completed.

“The Provincial Joint Forces Cannabis Enforcement Team, of which Barrie police is a member, carried out the investigation and executed the search warrant,” said Leon.
