“Well! That was a success!” That was the reaction of Brian MacLure, Wasaga Beach antique dealer, at the conclusion of the first-ever Cookstown Outdoor Antique Show last May.

His comment on the show was echoed by numerous dealers and visitors to the May event.

On the heels of that success, the Cookstown Outdoor Antique and Vintage Show, Fall edition, returns on Saturday, Sept. 9. For one day only, the Georgian Bay Steam Show grounds will become an enormous antique and vintage marketplace.

Coming from all parts of Ontario plus Quebec and the Maritimes, dealers will show up Friday afternoon, trucks and trailers packed to the doors with antique and vintage things picked over the summer. They'll spend the rest of the day unpacking and setting up their booths.

At 8 a.m. Saturday, keen shoppers can begin to browse booths filled with Canadiana furniture, vintage gas and oil signs, jewellery, kitchenware, fine art, First Nations pieces and many more categories. This is truly a case of 'something for everyone'.

The Georgian Bay Steam Show grounds are at 4635 Victoria St. W. in Cookstown. The show runs Saturday, Sept. 9 from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Admission is $12, kids under 13 are free, and on-site parking is also free.

There will be several food trucks from around Simcoe County on site, too.

More information about the show can be found at www.antiqueshowscanada.com.
