Open Air Dunlop continues Saturday, along Dunlop Street, and runs all summer long!

This Saturday, July 9, 2022:

PRNT Collective will be on site offering a hands-on printmaking activity. And guided tours of the Brightening Barriers temporary public art exhibition will be offered at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Barrie Farmers Market - There will be alpacas at the Barrie Farmers Market! It's also community services day, you can meet Barrie Transit, a firefighter, paramedic, police officer and the Barrie Public Library.

Pets & Pilates - Join ‘Pilates for Pets at 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. supporting our local Barrie Humane Society at the Flying Monkeys Brewery for a fun Pilates movement class facilitated by Kelly Patterson McGrath, a certified pilates teacher. Bring a mat, bring your dog (kind and gentle ones!) and either a monetary donation or pet food for the shelter.

Free Yoga - In the Square with Nook from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Bring your mat.

Urban Sketching with Spare Room - Hosted this week by Katie Green. Setup near Mexhico Restaurant from noon to 4:00 p.m. Also free and all materials provided.

‘Open Air Afternoons’ Meridian Place Stage - This weekend's Open Air Afternoons will be featuring Jerry leger and Dank Mock. Starting at 2 p.m. and going until 4 p.m.. "Toronto-based Americana singer-songwriter Jerry Leger has a strong following in Europe. His new album, Nothing Pressing,  is representative of his strengths. These are the worn-in songs and poetic melancholia of a welcome stranger, with a laconic style that lives somewhere between Blue Rodeo and Lucinda Williams." - Brad Wheeler, the Globe and Mail.

Of course, our local businesses will be open with arms for you to browse and shop at your leisure and then top off a great visit with a patio snack and bevy. For more information on the Downtown Barrie BIA, visit downtownbarrie.ca
