One arrested in connection with Caledon fire

Arrest made after fire set

CALEDON - On February 19, 2016 at approximately 1:06 pm, officers from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a fire at the Headwaters Lodge located at 21206 Highway 10 in the Town of Caledon. 

Fire and police arrived on scene, where the fire was contained to one unit of the building prior to being extinguished.

As a result of the investigation, an individual has been arrested for arson and transported to the Caledon OPP detachment. 

The accused will be held in custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton for a bail hearing on February 20, 2016.

Currently, the extent of the damages to Headwaters Lodge is unknown, there are no injuries, and the investigation is on-going.
