Oh what a thrill, on blue-Barrie Hill (Farms) (7 photos)

The 17th annual Blueberry Pancake Festival took place at Barrie Hill Farms on Saturday; proceeds to be donated to Hospice Simcoe

Attendees of Barrie Hill Farms were happy to be blue on Saturday morning.

The 17th annual Blueberry Pancake Festival took place at the Springwater Township farm this weekend, with the proceeds going to Hospice Simcoe.

Last year, the event brought in $10,000 for the cause, but this year George Watson, chairman of the festival and a member of the Knights of Columbus Barrie Council 1626, was hopeful to see at least $5,000.

“We’ll probably see between 1,500 and 2,000 meals served,” he said.
